Shuvashish Das Bala, Coordinator at IUBAT College of Nursing, writes, “I am pleased to introduce our newly appointed Chair, Dr. Sandra Rumi Madhu. We are delighted to welcome this new leadership, which we believe will further strengthen our academic excellence, international collaboration, and ongoing development initiatives. We look forward to your kind cooperation and hope to create more opportunities for partnership in the days ahead.”

Sandra earned a Masters degree in Nursing Management at University of Dhaka and a PhD in Nursing Practice at University of Greenwich, UK. She has worked with BRAC University, Dhaka as faculty for the Developing Midwives Project, and in senior administrative and faculty roles with Grameen Caledonian College of Nursing and Bangladesh Adventist Nursing College. She has published her research in the areas of effective clinical teaching, nutrition in pregnancy, and impact of new technologies in education.

BHP volunteers have already responded to Sandra's request for feedback on curriculum revisions and also facilitated collaboration for mental health training. We will continue to support strengthening of the College of Nursing under Sandra's able leadership.
